The Primitive Front Porch

Every home remodeling show will tell you that curb appeal makes a big difference, right? We spend a lot of time working on the inside of our homes to make them reflect the style and image we prefer, but let’s not forget to give the outside a little attention smile

Primitive Front Porch

This fall, Jack built us a new screen door for two reasons: 1) Functionality - keep the bees and bugs and cats out, but let the grandson and dog in and out. And 2) Aesthetics - he handmade the entire door, spindles and all, to create a rustic entrance to our shop. We love it!

Primitive Front Porch

We shipped this Primitive Front Porch basket out this week. It’s a fun one to stain and paint, because it leans more toward the grungy and shabby chic rather than the crisp finishes. The less perfect, the better! It matches so well with the new screen door, and creates an easy option for increasing our curb appeal game.

It’s lovely. I think it would also be perfect by a fireplace/woodstove hearth.
