The Painted Round Basket was designed as an antique reproduction of an old basket found in a New England cottage. The rim has an extra trim piece lashed with flat reed and nailed in place with small brass tacks as was custom in old-time basketry construction. It is then finished in a three-step painting technique that can be done to match your home’s primitive decor.

Love the pattern, thank you! I am finally making a market basket, that I have earmarked to stain a chocolate color then paint the outside a primitive color. I am excited & apprehensive all at once, but I keep reading your tutorials!
I am new to this site, so when I came across your post, I tried to download the pattern, but can’t get it to down load. What do I need.
Hi Joyce, you need to be certain you are using a device that reads .pdf files ... probably not a phone. Do you have a computer you can try on?
Thank you. Got it.
