The Painted Wall Basket would look great hanging over the coat hooks in your mud room ... and it will help keep track of all your hats & mittens. It is then finished in a three-step painting technique that can be done to match your home’s primitive decor.
Any level of weaver will enjoy this project so click on this link to purchase the pattern. (Please be certain your device is capable of reading .pdf files.)
The Painted Wall Basket would make a very handy basket and it is a beauty!! Thank You for the instructions on staining and painting the basket, I have always wondered how it was done and now I can try it. Thank You!!
Another great one! Thanks for doing this.
Gorgeous, but how do you not get the paint on the inside?
We stain the basket first. Then the rim and handle are taped off, after which we spray paint several very light coats. It usually does not bleed into the inside of the basket. Here is a link to that process: https://joannascollections.com/blog/basket-finishes
For thirty odd years I’ve been basket weaving. So you can teach a dog new tricks. All your baskets are WONDERFUL. I enjoyed your staining techniques, especially your three stain. Beautiful.
