Island Water Finish
After posting a blog entry about discovering how to weave striped baskets, we received an inquiry about using different colors to accent custom baskets. After many emails and questions, the final result was using a new branch of the MinWax stain. We have always used MinWax’s oil-based finishes, but through this custom request we discovered the colorful water-based stain line. MinWax offers many rich and bright color options. Check out the finished product in MinWax’s Island Water stain!
(Note: Because these stains are not usually in stock at Joanna’s Collections, requesting any of these options will be an additional charge of the cost of the stain.)

Very pretty. I have used some of the Minwax water based stains on baskets too. I usually water them down a bit more to make it easier to brush on or to change the intensity of the color.
